Unit 2: Understanding Functions
Unit 3: Linear Functions
Benchmark #1
Unit 4: Statistical Models
Unit 5 Linear Equations and Inequalities
Unit 6: Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities
Benchmark #2
Unit 7: Relationships that are NOT linear
Unit 8: Exponential Functions and Equations
Unit 9: Polynomial Expressions and Functions
Benchmark #3
Unit 10: Quadratic Functions
Unit 11: Quadratic Equations
End of Year Exam
Here is the old Algebra 1 curriculum study guides. I haven't taken them off yet as I don't know if they will be helpful as extra problems to help study for tests or quizzes.
Unit A: Symbols & operations unit
Unit A Study Guide
Unit B: Equations in one variable
Unit B Study Guide
Unit C: Graphing & writing linear equations in slope-intercept form
**This is the first truely Algebra 1 material we covered this year. It is not an easy test.
Unit C Study Guide
Unit C Retest Eligibility Packet:
Unit C Retest Packet
Unit D: Graphing standard form equations & writing linear equations in other forms
**This is a continuation of the slope concepts covered in Unit C and students can struggle with this test.
Unit D Study Guide
Unit E: Solving and graphing linear inequalities
Unit E Study Guide
Unit F: Systems of linear equations
Unit F Study Guide
Unit G: Statical analysis
Unit G Study Guide
MSA Geometry Review Unit: (not Algebra related, but needed for a review for the MSA in March)
Alg 1 MSA Geometry Review Study Guide
**This might change a bit as it has 8th grade materials on it and I only have 7th graders in Alg 1 this year.
Unit H: Probability
Probability Quiz (no study guide)
Simple Random Sample Quiz (no study guide, but lots of handouts to review & study from)
Simulations Quiz (No study guide, but lots of handouts to review & study from)
These two sections are not in the text book and we use supplemental handouts during class.
Unit I: Functions and Relations
Unit I Study Guide
Unit J: Exponents & Scientific Notation
Unit J Study Guide
Unit K: Radicals
Unit K Study Guide from 2011
Unit L: Operations with Polynomials
Units J, K, & L Study Guide from 2010
**In May 2010 we only had 2 weeks to teach units J, K & L due to how late the HSA was administered that year. In May 2011 we had a tiny bit more time so we tested Unit J and Unit K separately. We taught the lessons from Unit L that were needed for the final exam but didn't test the unit separately. Due to the MSA and HSA in middle school, we were not able to teach the full unit like the high school is able to do.
